GET TO KNOW OUR STORY
Let me tell you about Chris and Alissa. This isn’t your ordinary love story and it didn’t begin the way a typical love story begins. Chris and Alissa met in rehab in 2010 and it was NOT love at first sight. Chris’ first impression of Alissa was that she was a brat. Alissa wasn’t very fond of Chris either—she thought he was cocky. When they got out of rehab is when they started to spend sometime together strictly as friends. They’d go to the gym together, something they still do to this day. At some point they started to have feelings for one another. Alissa would make the first move, inside Chris’ beat up Honda Civic, after a day spent in Santa Cruz. She leaned over and kissed him! Chris was hooked! A few months later Alissa ended up moving into Chris’ tiny studio apartment. Unfortunately Alissa’s father, Rodger, was very ill, so Alissa moved home to help her mom and siblings take care of him. But every Friday as soon as Chris got off work he was in his run-down Honda driving to Loomis to spend the weekend with Alissa. He looked forward to seeing her on Fridays and dreaded leaving her on Mondays. This went on for months. At some point during one of Chris’ trips to visit Alissa they found out they were going to have their first child together, Jayla. One of the best things that would ever happen to either one of them. Chris and Alissa have grown up together. Chris has said he feels like he can handle anything life has to offer with Alissa by his side. They love one another, they’ve been through a lot and their bond has grown stronger. They now have two beautiful girls together and a teenage daughter from Alissa’s first marriage. Its not your typical love story but Chris or Alissa aren't your ordinary people. Their story is different but it’s their love story.

We would like to thank Alissa’s mom, Cathy, for everything she has done for the last 6 years: she has been nothing but supportive of us throughout our journey, through thick and thin. We have always been able to depend on her for anything. We would also like to thank and acknowledge Alissa’s deceased father, Rodger. We wish he were here to celebrate our marriage. He is deeply missed. Family was very important to Rodger and he loved to have a good time, so we know he’s watching us from above, smiling. We would also like to thank Chris’ parents, Ron and Kelley. You have also been extremely supportive of us throughout our relationship and have shown us nothing but unconditional love. We are so very grateful for the parents that we have been blessed to have and love you all very much. We also want to thank Rob and Deb.
